Vic 'Lil Tuna' Sandri

Vic started playing Mandolin in the 60s with his uncle Gus's immensely popular Italian Band, 'Big Tuna' Sandri and the Venice Menace. Vic's instrumental version of O Sole Mio was rumored to have made more than one newly married bride contemplate annulment.

And Vic's uncle he was so proud, he envisioned his retirement and Vic taking the reins of the band, leading The Venice Menace into the 70s and beyond. But then Vic got bitten by the Chicago blues bug and that was that.

Vic instantly turned his back on his ethnic heritage when he heard T-Bone Walker. And the Venice Menace they never were the same; Vic's Uncle 'Big Tuna' never forgave him and cursed Vic on his death bed in 1985. 'Big Tuna' with his dying breath said, “Vic, until you play O Sole Mio you ungrateful cur, you'll work like a dog in an ink factory”. To this day the curse remains unbroken... and that's good because Vic plays a great blues guitar.
